Our Ideology

Our teaching methodology is a trans-disciplinary approach and derives a lot from the Montessori and Play Way methods. Every concept taught is intertwined with concepts of other subjects that make learning more effective and retentive. In this manner, we strive to create a joyful, stress free and effective learning environment for the child.

We believe that the young mind is flexible, sensitive and is influenced and shaped by events in the outside world. Most of what children learn is acquired by exploring, playing with and observing relation between objects.For us each child is special and different. At all times, we keep the self-esteem of the child upper most in our mind and try to do justice to all aspects of learning.

ICT Integrated Pedagogy

ICT Integrated Pedagogy allows our children to gain a deeper understanding of subject matter and help them apply these learning to their experiences outside of the classroom. It provides children with the opportunity to handle technological tools in this fast paced world.

Multi Level Learning

Our multilevel learning strategies and classrooms ensure that no child becomes bored from a lack of challenge or disengaged because it is difficult . We strive to acknowledge and work with diverse learning styles and pace of children in the Foundational Years.

Montessori Activities

We focus prominently on Fine and Gross motor skills development through our Montessori activities. They are carefully thought out being mindful of child's interest and developmental needs. These hands- on activities help children learn through their senses.

Story Telling Integrated Pedagogy

We use story telling as a pedagogical tool to open the minds of the children to cultural diversity and to fuel their power of imagination and creativity. Through story telling we weave together concepts from various subjects, values, life lessons while creating empathy and universal understanding through the experiences of others.

Physical Wellbeing

At Little Jewels Kindergarten, we have different spaces oriented to the practise of sports. The most important facilities of our school are: Artificial Turf -Futsal, Outdoor Multi-Sports Court, Fun Activity Trail, Toddler Skating Rink, Outdoor Play Equipment and Sandpit Area. This allows us to improve motor skills, movement-related abilities and neuromuscular capacity in spaces conditioned so that our children can enjoy their favourite sports.

Yoga and Mindfullness

Through yoga exercises, stretching , breathing and meditation, we develop mindfulness in the children .Self-discipline, flexibility, strength, stamina, balance and coordination too improve through our yoga curriculum. Not to mention that it is a fun way to get exercise!

Wholesome Brunch

Brunch in the classroom has benefit far beyond putting food in bellies of children. We provide a well-balanced vegetarian meal which is fun and at the same time nutritious for the children. It is 100% prepared in-house under proper hygienic conditions. This goes a long way towards eliminating unnecessary comparisons and ensuring all children learn to eat together in a joyful and stress-free environment.

Safety and Security

The whole campus is 24/7 under the surveillance of CCTV aided with able security guards for safety of our children. Parents picking up their children from school is the most crucial time. The ID card of the parent/guardian matching with the ID card of the student allows school authorities to keep a tab on who is coming to take children back home. At Little Jewels Kindergarten, Security of our children is a very serious concern and we leave no stone unturned in following the same.

Assessment

Our assessment pattern is primarily diagnostic in nature, is microskill based and is continuous and comprehensive. Every aspect of the child's development is assessed through a variety of tools and techniques. A comprehensive report is provided to the parent at regular intervals and intervention is done when the need is seen.

Transdisciplinary Home Projects

Our transdisciplinary home projects provide the foundation for children to become original thinkers, generous collaborators and learners for life. These home sheets create a unity of different disciplines ensuring that children learn beyond the curriculum, learn holistically and learn more readily.

Value Education

Value Education… the difference between literacy and education! Our process of value education is seamlessly woven into the curriculum. We aim at developing the children into ethical and responsible individuals with a strong character and values.
